AKA to headline MUBAS Social weekend event

Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) Entertainment Committee (entercom) together with Nyasa Music Group have invited an inter1 prominent artist, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA in the entertainment circles, to perform at a social weekend at the college campus in Blantyre from April 8 to April 9.

In an interview with Malawi News Agency (MANA) on Monday, Nyasa Music Group Chief Executive Officer, James Makunje Junior said they would want to bring something new to spice up the event, hence the invitation extension to AKA to perform at the college, formerly the Polytechnic.

“In previous years, we never invited any inter1 artist to headline the social weekend. This time we want to bring something new and different to the entertainment circles in universities and colleges in Malawi,” said Makunje.

He said the organisers of the show have engaged the police to intensify security during the event.

Michael Kwapala, dubbed MQ the DJ, a 4th year MUBAS student studying Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, said he was geared to host the show and said all preparations are at an advanced stage.
