There’s tension in Limbe as some section of minibus touts is divided over planned anti-government demonstrations by politician Bon Kalindo.
The disputes between the camps had forced business to come to a standstill, although police officers are managing the situation.
About five people have been injured.
Visibly armed police officers have since mounted checkpoints from Hardware to Kapenga area to ensure that traffic operates as normal.It is not known yet about what grounds the sides are separated on.
Kalindo is due to lead the demonstrations a day after he tendered resignation as Youth Director for the UTM.
Meanwhile, it has also emerged that the sections are divided over ownership of business territories fondly known as migodi.
Meanwhile, about 50 people have been arrested.
