Fatal road accident claims 21 lives
Nthanda Times 21 people have died while eight others have sustained injuries after three vehicles collided at Lizulu in Ntcheu this morning.
Ntcheu Police Officer-in-Charge, Julius Munthali has confirmed saying the accident occurred on M1 between Mlanda and Lizulu close to Bomba filling station on Sunday 1st August at 1:30 am.
Munthali said the injured and the dead are people from Chikwawa who came to Ntcheu for "friendship visitation" at Chindoole village.
The accident occurred after a truck first hit a Toyota coaster minibus before ramming into a third vehicle.
The bodies have been taken to Dedza district hospital and so too those injured.
