21 people have died while eight others have sustained injuries after three vehicles collided at Lizulu in Ntcheu this morning.
Ntcheu Police Officer-in-Charge, Julius Munthali has confirmed saying the accident occurred on M1 between Mlanda and Lizulu close to Bomba filling station on Sunday 1st August at 1:30 am.
Munthali said the injured and the dead are people from Chikwawa who came to Ntcheu for “friendship visitation” at Chindoole village.
The accident occurred after a truck first hit a Toyota coaster minibus before ramming into a third vehicle.
The bodies have been taken to Dedza district hospital and so too those injured.
