Karonga united, TN Stars share spoils
Karonga United risk not reaching their top 3 finish desire by drawing 1-1 with TN stars on Saturday in the Elite TNM Super League.
The game played at Karonga’s soccer cathedral saw John Chalamanda of TN Stars score an equalizing goal for his team at 81 minutes of the match late after Victor Lungu for Karonga United scored a leading goal at the 4th minute of the game.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Karonga United’s coach Dan Zimkambani described the draw as a result of silly mistake from the team.
“We could have won the game but we lacked concentration and that mistake led us into conceding a goal hence the draw," he said.
He has since said his team will put more effort in the coming two last games so as to have a place in the top 3. In the next two games we will really work extra hard so that at least we can win 1 or even both games despite the teams being tough teams," he said.
In a separate interview, TN Stars’ coach, Joseph Malizan described the draw as a fair result to his team.
“This draw to us is a fair result because this was a cracker game for us as my boys conceded a goal in the first 4 minutes," Said Malizani.
Malizani has since described his next game against Chitipa united as an unpredictable game and expressed happiness with the 40 points gained.
"The tomorrow’s game against Chitipa united is unpredictable but I am happy that now we have 40 points and for tomorrow the 90 minutes will tell of what we shall make," he said.
With the draw, Karonga united now has 45 points while TN Stars has moved to 40 points.
