League for Change donates wheelchair in Nkhotakota

League for Change (LC), a charity organization championed by renown Hip Hop artist Fredokiss handed over a wheel chair to an old woman who has been having difficulties in walking for years in Nkhotakota. The woman, Mayi Chitowe aged 87 expressed her gratitude to the organization for supporting her with a wheel chair saying it will ease her mobility. “I have been in this situation for so long. I have difficulties in walking and for this I even fail to do other simple chores at home. Now with this wheelchair, I will be able to do some of rare tasks at home of which I couldn't before. I say thank you to League for Change for this support,” thanked Chitowe. Chitowe also requested the organization to continue helping other people who are in the community who are facing various degrees of challenges like her. Chitowe sits on a wheelchair donated by League of Change "I beg the continuation of this to other people who are facing the same challenge I am facing. This is a very good initiative and it should not just stop here, reach out and touch many who are facing the same in the community", said Chitowe. Speaking when presenting the donation, one of LC members said the team is happy to have fulfilled its pledge and looks forward to reach out more people in the community with such support. “This is just a beginning and there are many people that we want to reach out this year and give them the support like this. We are a charitable organization that is committed to support people who are less privileged and lack care and support in Malawian communities,” he said. League for Change is a charitable organization that was founded in 2019 by a Malawian Hip-hop musician Fredokiss real name Penjani Kaluwa with an aim to facilitate change towards the country's development.
