"We are christians so we have to follow what bible teaches us, we have to give to the needy so despite being a christian but in all we are Malawians we thought it wise as a church to donate here, as malawians we have to have one heart to support each other in good or bad times," he said.

One of the beneficiaries Pemphero Chitsulo explessed her happiness saying the donation has come at a right time when many people in the area are lacking basic needs including clothes.

"I fail to attend church meetings due to lack of clothes. So, with this donation, I believe I will not miss church proceedings anymore.

As christians, we have to dress, we have to eat, on top of this we have to learn how to give to others as we have been given today not just receive that is what bible teaches us," Chitsulo concluded.

The donated items were shoes, clothes and food.

To spice up the gathering, the church also blessed the congregants with praise and worshing songs and prayers
