NCST calls for inclusion of researchers in MW2063

The National Commission on Science and Technology (NCST) says the agenda 2063 can be achieved if the country will include researchers based on science and technology.

Speaking when signing a memorundum of understanding with the National Planning Commission on the research, science, technology and innovation as enablers towards the attainment of the MW2063 , the Director General of National Commission for science and technology professor Elijah Wanda said the MOU will contribute to the issues of I dustralization pilar and agriculture pillar which will require researches that will give a direction on where to develop or not according
to the particular area.

He said the country needs innovation and research in order to improve.

He further said the science and technology will make them to have knowledge in the implementation of the MW2063.

On his part the Director General of National planning Commission Dr. Thomas Chatagarara said the MOU the first ten year implementation plan will require science and technology, and innovations in order to graduate the plan by having a strong research agenda.

Meanwhile, two hundred and ninety one million kwacha has been put in place for the research on the first ten year implementation plan.
