Ntopwa ropes in a Nigerian mid fielder

Ntopwa Football club has announced it has acquired services of a Nigerian mid fielder Emenike Onuh who will be with the club until the end of the season.

The signing comes barely few days after the club signed former Mighty Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets Mid Fielder Kondwani Scholes Kumwenda who before joining the Ameghetto kids played for Masters Security football club.

Confirming the development, Ntopwa owner and Technical Director Isaac Jomo Osman described the signing as of the best for the club.

“It is true that we have signed a 22-year-old attacker from Nigeria by the name Emenike Onuh. The signing has been made possible courtesy of our Nigerian partners. This is one of our best signing,” said Jomo.

Jomo added that the coming in Onuh will strengthen the team as it has been on a losing strike.

“You might be aware that our team has been performing poorly. The coming in of Onuh will surely strengthen the team and I’m assuring our supporters that we will start delivering positive results soon,” said Jomo.

Recently, the team’s center back George Nyirenda resigned from the club. The team has also lost services of its left winger Josiah Duwa who has penned a two-year contract with Karonga united.

Despite starting the 2020/21 season on a higher note, Ntopwa has failed to win eight consecutive games and are 15th on the log standings. Their next game is up against Ekwendeni Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday 30th May 2021.
