Oc Kawale brings hope to Community Policing forums

As one way of rejuvenating the formulated security forums in the area, the Officer in Charge of Kawale Police Station, Mr. Aubrey Kawale Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) took his time to interact with the Community Policing executive committee within area 23.

The committee has the obligation in formulation of Community policing teams and looks into the performances of all the Cpf in area 23.

Speaking during the meeting Mr Kawale brought message full of hope and assurance .

“Programs are set and we will be moving within our policing area together with the members of Cpf to ensure that crime is reduced. I urge you all leaders to bring information about any criminal activity so that we stamp out those that are bringing mess in our area,” Said Kawale.

Kawale: let’s join hands in fighting against crime

Mr Kawale advised the leaders present to sensitise their subordinates to refrain from acts of mob justice citing that it jeorpadise investigations by law enforcers.

“We are ready to impart technical know-how to those young men who have been assigned to provide security so be assured of our full support as we fight together the fight against crime. As we do our part we charge you to do your own also so that we collectively win the fight, you can even bang heads together so that you improve the infrastructure of area 23,” Said Kawale.

Kawale Community Policing Coordinator, Inspector Thoko Mkwezalamba took advantage to share security tips to a mother of a child with albinism.

Balancing the equation, the Kawale top boss promised the executive members that he will make sure that their concerns are addressed.

The gathering was graced by three neighboring ward councilors Mac Tonic Phiri of Tsabango 2 ward, Benson Chifungatila of statehouse ward, Assamese Lupanga of Mlodza ward and also Dr. Alex Chapondera availed himself and expressed excitement with the presence of the Officer in Charge Mr. Kawale.

The three echoed their concerns of training provision to the Community Policing teams citing that such will help them discharge their duties with professionalism.

However they were all ready to make sure that the Cpf in their respective areas were effective.
