Police never lowered standards in recruitment process, Kadadzera
The Malawi Police Services says it did not break the minimum requirements of recruitment during the recent recruitment of Police Officers.
The clarification comes following pictures of some newly recruited Police Officers who made rounds on social media deemed to have not met requirements of 1.6m minimum height and age.
1 Police Public Relations Officer James Kadadzera said all the newly recruited Police Officers were well qualified for the post.

“The Service did not lower standards during the process as no underage candidates were recruited. Furthermore, all recruits were examined by qualified medical officers and were certified fit for the training,” said Kadadzera.
Kadadzera further said all recruits have a minimum qualification of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) and 1 Identity cards.
Malawi Police Services has meanwhile assured the general public that it will continue maintaining minimum standards as far as recruitment of Police Officers is concerned.
