Tembo returns to Silver

Civo Service United FC Captain Blessings Tembo has rejoined his former club Silver Strikers at a fee close to MK2 million.

The mid fielder maestro who has been with Civo since 2018 after he terminated his contract with Mighty Wanderers has finally been accepted by the Bankers who turned down his return in 2018 labelling him as a traitor.

Confirming the development, Civo United General Secretary Ronald Chiwaula said the team does not stand in any player’s way hence the selling of Tembo

Chiwaula said that the team will miss Tembo but was quick to say that the team has other players who can play in the position the Midfielder was playing.

Chiwaula further said Civo will produce other great mid fielders to fill the position of Tembo.

Tembo: Back to Central Bankers

“Blessings has gone to Silver, as a team we respect his wishes, but Civo is a team that nurtures talent and we believe the team will produce other great Midfielders as we always do,” said Chiwaula.

The General Secretary has indicated that the team will still fight for the championship despite losing the midfield maestro to their rivals.

Tembo who was Captain of the team until his departure, played for Civo for almost three seasons after joining the team in 2018.

Blessings Tembo left the Central Bankers in 2018 January in a controversial free transfer to Mighty Wanderers where he later terminated his contract upon contractual disagreements.
