TN Stars technical panel eyes an improved team in second round

Kasungu based Tnm Super League outfits TN Stars says they expect to turn tables around in their league journey as they take on Red Lions on Wednesday at Balaka Stadium.

TN Stars assistant Coach Honest Nkhwazi told media that management and supporters are not happy with the team's performance in the elite league.

According to Nkhwazi, the team is geared to find first three points of the 2022 Bola Pamtsetse Tnm Super League season second round, and fight for survival in the league.

"The only expectation we have as a team is to collect maximum points over Red Lions. The preparations were good. The technical panel together with the players, we are ready to win the game tomorrow," said Nkhwazi.

The assistant Coach further said the team has been working on mistakes the team has been making which costed them points.

Recognizing the three points is equally important for the hosts, Nkhwazi said TN Stars is not afraid, and aims to defeat the Zomba based soldiers.

"Every game has a different approach. We understand Red Lions is also struggling in the game. As TN Stars, we respect them because they have been in the league for quite a long time.

"In the first round, we came from one goal behind to draw against them at Kasungu stadium. We are not playing away, but we are not scared. We will brave for the three points," said Nkhwazi.

TN Stars is on position 14 on the log table with 12 points from 16 games, having conceded 30 goals, while Red Lions is on position 11 with 17 points from 16, and they have conceded 19 goals.

In other matches, Ekwendeni Hammers hosts defending champions and current league leaders Nyasa Big Bullets at Rumphi Stadium, while Kamuzu Barracks takes on Civil Service club at Civo stadium.
